Founded
In 1964, O.C. “Putter” Jarvis founded Landmark Life Insurance Company to serve the final expense life market in a sensible and progressive manner. His vision and hard work paid off as Landmark Life now stands as one of America’s fastest growing and most respected life insurance companies. Since its inception, Landmark Life has grown from an initial asset base of just $46,000 to over $59,000,000.
A key to our growth has been the reinsurance of blocks of life insurance business, or the total reinsurance of life insurance companies. As of today, we have directly consolidated 54 identifiable units of business into Landmark Life’s corporate structure through the process of assumptive reinsurance.
A comprehensive sales program also contributes to our growth. Sales of our life products have increased dramatically over the last 7 years. Our innovative product line includes a variety of high-quality and sensible ordinary life products, with benefits ranging from a few thousand to multi-millions of dollars. Landmark Life is truly a “life” company, as we do not offer any health policies for sale. This focus on life insurance has contributed to the stability and continuing profitability of our Company.
